Breezer bikes aren’t particularly common on Australian cycleways and roads these days, but judging by some of the quality machines they’re building, they soon will be!
Breezer bikes founder Joe Breeze is credited with having built the first modern mountain bike in 1977. Certainly a far-reaching legacy and one that lives on through Breezer’s product range. Breezer make many top of the line road and mountain bikes as well as a myriad of affordable transport-oriented bikes offered with classic styling as well as more contemporary frame geometries and paint schemes. Here at Perth Electric Bicycles, we’re always on the lookout for new designs of bicycle to convert to suit the needs of Perth commuters and even a cursory glance at Breezer’s transportation range reveals a wide range of options.

The Breezer Beltway is likely the first model we’ll have in stock, and it might well become a favourite with commuters wanting something a little different. It has a lightweight alloy frame with a sloping flatbar road geometry, making it comfortable over distances of 20 kilometres or more. The responsive frame also makes for efficient power transfer through the deathly silent Gates Belt-Drive drivetrain running a singlespeed. Couple that to some durable WTB 32 Hole rims running mechanical disc brakes and this machine is the ultimate low maintenance commuter for Australian conditions.
When we get this in stock, we’ll likely fit it with our 200 Watt Mini-Motor kit to enhance this bike’s credentials as a true everyday commuter and transport option. We’re also looking into getting some more classically styled comfort oriented bikes from Breezer in the not-too-distant future, so if you’re in the market for a new electric bicycle, we should be able to find the right bike for you.
